May 8, Fineko/abc.az. "The activities of Bank Melli Iran should be considered by the Central Bank more systematically, more carefully, in particular, it is very important that the public is informed about financial resources."

ABC.AZ reports that Milli Majlis MP Vugar Bayramov stated about this when delivering speech about the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran.

The MP noted that the Central Bank exercises control over commercial banks:

"Therefore, it is very important to exercise special control over the activities of foreign banks and sources of income."

Vugar Bayramov added that Iran is a country that has close ties with Armenia and has recently used threats against Azerbaijan:

"The terrorist attack at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran also shows that Iran's threats to Azerbaijan continued even at the level of terror against Azerbaijani citizens. Therefore, the activities of Bank Melli Iran should be considered by the Central Bank more systematically and carefully."
