Volvo cuts 6% of its employees in Sweden

May 5, Fineko/abc.az. Volvo Cars is laying off 1,300 employees in Sweden, of which 1,100 work in the company itself, and the rest at various enterprises throughout the country, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Volvo press service.

According to Volvo, this is 6% of the total number of employees in Sweden.

According to Volvo director Jim Rowan, the company has started a cost optimization program since last year. He added that cost-cutting measures have begun to bring results in some key areas.

The company also says that in the near future they will reduce costs and increase the efficiency of their activities around the world, in connection with which they will reduce the number of consultants and purchased services.

Earlier it became known that crossover Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max on the Russian market received new basic configuration Elite, which is 130,000 rubles cheaper than the previous most affordable version.
