May 2, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR Türkiye's investments have approached $18 billion, ABC.AZ reports, quoting SOCAR Türkiye CEO Elchin Ibadov.

"SOCAR is the largest foreign direct investor in Türkiye. SOCAR Türkiye will continue its activity to strengthen the economies of Azerbaijan and Türkiye as a company operating in the energy sector, one of the priorities for the whole world. With our competent personnel, we are determined to serve the economy, industry and social development of Türkiye for many years," he said.

SOCAR Türkiye started commercial activity in Türkiye in 2008 after buying 51% of Petkim shares.

It includes the best-in-class companies Petkim, TANAP, Star Refinery, SOCAR Terminal, Petkim Rus (wind farm), Bursagaz, Kayserigaz, Enervis, SOCAR Energy Ticaret, Millenicom, SOCAR Ticaret and SOCAR Depolama.
