Kommersant: Now Azerbaijani military fully control logistics

17:08 - 25.04.2023

April 25, Fineko/abc.az. The installation of a checkpoint in Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan means that the Azerbaijani military now fully control logistics. Yerevan has nothing to oppose this, except indignation.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the material of Russian newspaper Kommersant.

The article under heading "Armenia was put before the paragraph. Azerbaijan is moving towards establishing final control over Karabakh" says that the creation of a checkpoint has caused concern both in Yerevan and in the West and in Russia. However, such statements did not have serious impact on Baku.

The interlocutor of Kommersant in Russian state bodies, familiar with the situation in the region, called the course of events there essentially natural.

According to the interlocutor, Baku is dissatisfied with the fact that since the signing of the Trilateral Statement in November 2020, the issues of delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as communication issues (including such a fundamental aspect as "stitching" the country by laying a corridor to Nakhichevan) have not moved from the dead point.

"Therefore, they put pressure where they can," the interlocutor of Kommersant noted.
