April 11, Fineko/abc.az. A new bill on electric power industry has been passed in the 3rd reading at today's Milli Majlis plenary session.
ABC.AZ reports that the bill will contribute to the creation of competitive environment in the energy sector.
According to the bill, electric power industry entities can sell and buy electricity on wholesale markets, as well as provide related services. The supplier has the right to sell electricity to consumers on the retail market in accordance with the rules of the retail market.
