ABC.AZ reports that MP Vahid Ahmadov made this statement during his speech at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources, Energy & Ecology.
"This law is a social, political law. There are 3 stages (2025, 2025-2028, after 2028). Firstly, two rounds of elections are planned until 2025 - parliamentary and presidential. Going to the polls with such a bill can lead to negative factors. Therefore, we proposed to change these stages. We’ll start applying the law from 2027-2028, and not after 2025. We said we would conduct pilot projects and look at their profitability. Who says it won't affect tariffs, it's possible. If the company invests, there will be a price change. Let's work on this bill. It cannot be submitted for the 3rd reading. Don't prepare a surprise for us. Leave this bill, we don't need surprises," the MP added.
