April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Japan has obtained an exception from the United States from the price cap of $60 per barrel agreed by the G7 countries for Russian oil.

ABC.AZ reports that the Japanese authorities justified this by saying that they need access to Russian energy resources.

According to analysts, Japan's dependence on Russian fuel "contributed to Tokyo's indecision regarding fuller support for Ukraine in its war with Russia".
