March 7, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 January 2023, women accounted for 22% of entrepreneurs registered in Azerbaijan without forming a legal entity, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Agency for the Development of Small & Medium-sized Businesses (under the Ministry of Economy).

The Agency reports that women entrepreneurs mainly work in agriculture, services and other fields. Also, 29.9% of female entrepreneurs are registered in Baku, 10.2% in Lankaran-Astara, 8.9% in Gazakh-Tovuz, and the rest in other economic regions.
