Increase of number of equipment to which benefit applies

March 1, Fineko/abc.az. The number of processing equipment covered by the privilege should be increased in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Mehman Ismayilov, deputy chairman of the Agency for Agrarian Credit & Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, said about this at Agro Business Forum Azerbaijan-2023 in Baku.

"The manufacturing industry in Azerbaijan has great prospects. Currently, the number of processing equipment covered by the benefit is small, and it is necessary to think about increasing its number. As the volume of fruit production increases, it is necessary to consider the issue of its processing more and more. For example, about 800 boxes of normal apples are harvested from 1 hectare. Of them, about 300 boxes are not suitable for sale and the farmer does not want to sell this product. In this case, the best way is to submit the product for processing," he emphasized.
