February 23, Fineko/abc.az. Negotiations with the bp company regarding the construction of a 240 MW solar power plant (SPP) in Jabrayil are nearing completion.
ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan, Sahib Alakbarov, said about this at the scientific conference on "Heydar Aliyev's role in the formation of a competitive economy".
He added that the implementation of large green energy projects has started in the country. Alakbarov said that within the framework of the work done in the field of green energy, projects are already being implemented with Masdar of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ACWA Power of Saudi Arabia.
An agreement has been reached between the Ministry of Energy and BP on further steps on the solar power plant project in the south-western region of Azerbaijan. An addendum to the executive agreement signed in June 2021 was signed between the parties in order to take further steps to jointly implement the 240 MW solar power plant project in Jabrayil. Thus, this document reflects the measures to be taken to complete the joint activities for implementation of Shafag solar power plant project.
