February 22, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank has unveiled the areas of Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA), which will be the focus of attention in Azerbaijan in 2021-2026.

ABC.AZ reports that within the PEFA, attention will be paid to macro- and fiscal forecasting, fiscal strategy, budget classification. The other two areas related to data on the results of provision of public services and medium-term prospects for provision of public services.

The purpose of reforms related to public finance management is to achieve more transparent, efficient and effective management of public revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities.

PEFA was implemented in Azerbaijan in 2014.
