Azerishig not to sell electricity

February 21, Fineko/abc.az. In the future, the authority to sell electricity will be removed from Azerishig.

ABC.AZ reports that Ibrahim Agayev, the head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Energy, expressed this opinion at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Natural Resources, Energy & Ecology.

He said that the organization will be able neither to sell nor to buy electricity:

“Azerishig will be engaged only on one type of activity. The institution, however, will retain the distribution function. And the sales will be handled by independent sellers.”
