February 17, Fineko/abc.az. Gas production from Shah Deniz will be cheaper.
ABC.AZ reports that Gary Jones, BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkiye, stated about this to journalists at an event dedicated to the results of 2022.
He added that while it is impossible to talk about specific volumes, it will become known by the results of drilling a search well. Gary Jones added that if significant gas reserves are discovered, the existing infrastructure will make it cheaper to extract these volumes.
Shah Deniz gas production began in December 2006.
Currently, Sha Deniz gas extraction is carried out from Alpha platform as part of Stage-1 and from Bravo platform as part of Stage-2.
