February 15, Fineko/abc.az. Illegally sold land plots with a total area of 13,089 hectares have been returned to municipalities in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the "Annual report of the body exercising administrative supervision over the activities of municipalities."
The document notes that within the administrative control measures, the Ministry of Justice submitted proposals to municipalities or lawsuits to the courts in order to annul municipal acts on the illegal allotting of land plots with a total area of 14,000 hectares.
As a result, illegal decisions on transfer of ownership of 1,045 hectares of land plots, for rent - 12,043 hectares, for use - 1 hectare were canceled. In general, 13,089 hectares (44% more than in 2021) of land plots have been returned to municipal ownership.
Proposals and claims on land plots with an area of 911 hectares are under consideration.
