February 14, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 2.759 bn kWh of electricity in January 2023, which is 199.8 million kWh or 7.8% more than in January 2022.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy that this January thermal power plants generated 2.7 bn kWh (a rise of 210.1 million kWh), hydroelectric power plants 67.2 million kWh (decline of 13.5 million kWh), wind power plants 4.68 million kWh, solar power plants 3.93 million kWh, at a solid waste incineration plant 19.35 million kWh.

Over the reported term, 2.523 bn kWh of electricity generated accounted for Azerenergy OJSC, 203.5 million kWh for independent power plants, 28.85 million kWh for the State Energy Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 3.9 million kWh for Azerishig wind power plants.
