January 26, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan directed 77,580 tons of cotton fiber for $175.496 million for exports in 2022 (versus 126,998 tons for $210.919 million in 2021), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

Thus, our country’s cotton fiber exports decreased by 17% in value terms and by 39% in quantity.

Last year, Azerbaijan exported 8,623 tons of cotton yarn for $33.12 million. In 2021, the country exported 18,429 tons for $58.115.

Compared with 2021, the value of exported cotton yarn decreased by 43%, and its quantity by 53%.

Azerbaijan received over $200 million from cotton exports
