Oil gets more expensive, and Brent is at $84.58 a barrel

December 27, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Tuesday's trading.

The cost of February Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures exchange increased by $0.66 (0.79%) up to $84.58 per barrel by 09:20 am. Following the trading on 23 December, Brent crude futures for February rose by $2.94 (3.63%) to $83.92 per barrel.

By 09:20 am, the price of WTI crude oil futures for February on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) grew by $0.64 (0.80%) up to $80.20 per barrel. Following the trading on 23 December, the price of February futures for WTI oil rose by $2.07 (2.67%) to $79.56 per barrel.

On Monday, oil trading was not held because of the celebration of Christmas.

At the end of last week, Brent crude oil rose by 6.17% and WTI by 6.85%.
