Oil gets more expensive, and Brent is at $81.62 a barrel

December 23, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are rising in Friday’s trading after falling the day before.

The cost of February Brent crude futures on the London ICE Futures exchange increased by $0.64 (0.79%) to $81.62 per barrel by 09:10 am. Following the trading on 22 December, Brent crude futures for February fell by $1.22 (1.48%) to $80.98 per barrel.

By 09:10 am, the price of WTI crude oil futures for February on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) increased by $0.80 (1.03%), to $78.29 per barrel. Following the trading on 22 December, the value of February futures for WTI oil fell by $0.80 (1.02%) to $77.49 per barrel.
