Georgia reduced grain imports

October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 9 months Georgia imported 105,012 tons of grain from abroad for a total of $38.2 million (43.7% less than in 2021).

ABC.AZ reports that Georgia bought 283,000 tons of wheat in 2021 and 368,665 tons in 2020. 92% of Georgia-imported wheat was from Russia.

Georgia bought 96,624 tons of wheat from Russia for a total of $35.7 million. The country purchased 3,703 tons of wheat for $1.3 million from Kazakhstan, and 3,569 tons for $714,000 from Armenia.
