October 19, Fineko/abc.az. Earthworks are underway on the territory of the Lachin airport under construction, ABC.AZ reports, citing Azvirt LLC adviser to general director Jeyhun Safarov.

He added that because of the difficult terrain, earthworks in Lachin take a lot of time.

"Lachin is considered a territory with a difficult terrain. We believe that in late 2024 - early 2025, the work carried out by our company at Sochi Airport will be completed. We are making every effort to ensure that all work is completed on time," Safarov said.

He emphasized that the company is engaged in three main areas of airport construction.

"These are the runway, the apron area and the guiding tracks," Safarov said.
