August 26, Fineko/abc.az. The total gross grain harvest in Russia may reach 145 million tons, while the export potential will be 55-56 million tons in 2022, Vladimir Petrichenko, Director General of the Prozerno Analytical Center, said at the Grain of Siberia forum, according to ABC.AZ.
"If 145 million tons are harvested, then with an increase in domestic consumption to 83 million tons, the export potential should be in the amount of 55-56 million tons. Of these, 44 million tons is wheat. Despite this, ending stocks can grow from 14-15 million tons to 19.5 million tons," he said.
Petrichenko estimated the growth in consumption for livestock breeding at 1.5 million tons, to 45.5 million tons.
The approved plan of the Ministry of Agriculture is 130 million tons for harvesting and 50 million tons for export.
