July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The rise in prices for gasoline AI-95 and AI-98 has increased the demand for eco-friendly cars, ABC.AZ reports, quoting transport expert Eldaniz Jafarov.

He noted that the number of buyers of this type of vehicles, which partially run on fuel and have low consumption compared with other cars, has increased in recent days. Along with this, the demand for cars with diesel engines has increased. According to the current rules, only hybrid cars with electric motor and production of no more than 3 years, with engine capacity of no more than 2,500 cu cm, are exempt from VAT when imported. However, the expert believes that these motivating steps are not enough, and such steps should be continued.

He added that a sharp rise or fall in car prices in the domestic market is not expected until the autumn.
