December 25, Fineko/abc.az. The names of global companies that invest most in shares of the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) have become known. As of October 1, 2023, SOFAZ investments in 14 currencies covered more than 1,600 companies from 26 countries, ABC.AZ reports, referring to SOFAZ.
The value of SOFAZ listed shares over Jan-Sept 2023 amounted to $10.3 bn (3.7% more against Jan-Sept 2022). Over Jan-Sept 2023, this figure reaches $10.7 bn.
Over this period, Top 5 of companies in which the State Oil Fund invested the most continued to be controlled by global IT companies. There have also been changes in the portfolio of shares of Top 5 of companies in which SOFAZ invests the most. Although Fund's investments in Apple Inc. increased 2.3-fold in the 1st half of this year and reached $497 million, by the end of Q3 this figure had dropped to $440 million (decline of 11.5%). In other words, the share of Apple Inc. in SOFAZ stock portfolio dropped from 4.7% to 4.3%.
