July 26, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 6 months of the year Azerbaijan registered 7,111 legal entities, most of which used e-registration services, the Ministry of Taxes.

The analysis shows that one of the causes influencing on that is simplification of the e-register of legal entities since 2019.

For Jan-Jun 2019 the number of registered legal entities increased by 18% (versus the 2018 same term), and the share of e-registration grew from 79.6% up to 85.7%.

The conducted reform has had a positive impact on Azerbaijan’s position report ‘Doing Business’. Currently, Azerbaijan ranks 9th among 190 countries in Doing Business 2019 report on indicator "Starting a Business". Doing Business 2019 envisages three procedures, 3.5 days and 18 manats on the indicator "Starting a Business" for Azerbaijan. As a result of those changes, the number of funds and documents for starting a business has decreased to zero, and a limited liability company with local investments is registered online within 0.5 days within one procedure.
