October 13, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-Sept 2026, services for 12.816 bn manats were rendered in the field of transport and warehousing in Azerbaijan.

The State Statistics Committee informs that in real terms, this indicator is 10% more against the 2025 same term.

Out of overall volume of services, services for 7.652 bn manats (59.7%) accounted for cargo transportation, for 3.495 bn manats (27.3%) for passenger transportation, and for 1.668 bn manats (13%) for warehousing and postal services.

In the transport sector, 183.1 million tons of cargo were carried (3% more versus Jan-Sept 2025). Carriages by road made up 63.5% of cargo transportation, by pipeline - 25.1%, by rail - 7.6%, by sea - 3.6%, by air - 0.2%.

The number of passengers transported reached 1.77 bn people (a rise of 9.7% versus Jan-Sept 2025). Passengers carried by road made up 90.5% of passenger traffic, by metro - 8.8%, and the rest by other types of transport.
