October 13, Fineko/abc.az. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev highlighted the country’s expanding global investment portfolio and transport-logistics capacities during a joint press statement with Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The Head of State emphasized that Azerbaijan’s foreign investments have reached billions of dollars, with a constantly expanding geographic footprint.

"The geography of our investments is expanding. Our multi-billion-dollar investments reflect both our capabilities and deliver substantial benefits to host nations," President Ilham Aliyev stated.

Noting that all key transport and logistics infrastructure projects within Azerbaijan have already been successfully completed, the President added: “We are currently focused on attracting additional cargo, mobilizing freight from new destinations, and increasing transit volumes. I hope that upon completion of ongoing projects on both sides, total cargo transport volumes will see significant growth.”
