August 26, Fineko/abc.az. According to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), payment systems indicators in the country demonstrated strong growth in July 2026.

According to the Central Bank, the number of active payment cards across commercial banks and "Azerpost" LLC systems rose by 8.9% year-on-year, reaching 22,785,000 units. Concurrently, the volume of domestic cashless transactions experienced significant expansion, surging by 13.9% compared to the corresponding period.

The CBA highlights that as part of infrastructure growth, the network of ATMs expanded by 4.4%, while the number of POS terminals grew by 12.1% year-on-year.
