June 25, Fineko/abc.az. Alibaba Group Holding shares plummeted (down −4.9% for the session, −33% year-to-date) after Anthropic accused the company of unauthorized access to an AI model. Other players, such as Xiaomi and Baidu, also faced pressure (−3%+).

ABC.AZ reports that the situation was exacerbated by the tightening of US’ AI policy and restrictions on access to advanced models, as well as weak domestic demand in China. According to Nomura International Hong Kong, Alibaba's e-commerce revenue decreased by ~8% in the June sale, and its 2027 EBITDA forecast was downgraded by 15%.
