June 23, Fineko/abc.az. OpenAI and IBM have expanded their cooperation to use artificial intelligence to protect software from modern cyberattacks.
ABC.AZ reports that IBM is launching a new service that uses OpenAI models to analyze source code, identify potential vulnerabilities, and assess their severity and potential exploitation by attackers.
Unlike conventional tools, the system does not just look for errors, but “understands” the structure of an application: it studies the connections between its components and simulates possible attack scenarios. This helps identify real risks faster and determine which problems need to be addressed first.
The solution is based on the Project Lightwell project and aims to integrate AI directly into companies’ workflows. As a result, security specialists will be able to receive recommendations more quickly and protect key systems more effectively from increasingly complex, including automated, cyber threats.
