June 18, Fineko/abc.az. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS).
ABC.AZ informs that as part of the 51st annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku, CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov met with a delegation led by CBOS Chairman Amna Mirgani, who is visiting our country for the first time.
The sides discussed the macroeconomic situation and development trends, mechanisms for improving the transmission of monetary policy, deepening correspondent banking relations, as well as approaches to expanding financial inclusion.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed aimed at strengthening the institutional and legal foundations of cooperation between organizations, expanding cooperation, and promoting the exchange of best practices and knowledge in the field of central banking.
The memorandum will enhance cooperation in the areas of monetary policy, the financial sector, payment systems, financial technology, banking supervision, countering the legalization of criminally acquired property, and the financing of terrorism. For this purpose, meetings, seminars, exchanges of experience, training programs and business trips are provided.
