June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Iraq discussed the improvement of monetary policy transmission mechanisms.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that CBA governor Taleh Kazimov received a delegation of the Central Bank of Iraq headed by Ali Muhsin Al-Alak at the 51st annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group.

The meeting parties discussed development of monetary policy transmission mechanisms, expansion of instant and QR payments, as well as deepening of correspondent banking relations. The parties reviewed two countries’ experience and possibilities for further expansion of cooperation, including holding bilateral meetings, professional trainings and experience exchange programs.
