Binance risks losing its license in the EU

12:35 - 17.06.2026

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Binance, the largest crypto exchange, may lose access to the European Union market as early as next month: its application for a license under the new MiCA regulations is likely to be rejected.

ABC.AZ informs that according to EU rules, crypto companies are required to obtain a license by the end of June, otherwise they will not be able to serve customers in the union. If the Greek regulator refuses, Binance will lose the right to operate in the EU from July, and the fate of its clients will remain uncertain.

The company claims that it has fulfilled all the requirements and intends to minimize possible failures, however, delays in authorization may force the platform to leave the European market.
