Minister: Agreements for over $4.7 bn to be signed at private sector forum

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Private Sector Forum, held as part of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, will be remembered for significant investment results.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said this at a private sector forum organized as part of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank in Baku.

According to the minister, more than 32 agreements and memoranda of understanding for totally over $4.7 bn will be signed during the forum.

"The volume of agreements concluded at previous forums exceeded $3.6 bn, and this year's event is aimed at achieving even better results," he said.

Jabbarov also stressed that to ensure sustainable well-being, higher interconnectedness, deepening of trade and investment ties, as well as close cooperation between states and the private sector are necessary.
