June 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Government of Azerbaijan has expanded the state-owned land allotment designated for the construction of a major solar power plant (SPP) in the Jabrayil district.
According to ABC.AZ, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decree amending the prior resolution "On designating a state-owned land plot within the administrative territory of the Jabrayil district as a renewable energy source zone."
The upgraded executive plan outlines:
Acreage Expansion: The governmental land area allocated within the Jabrayil district—part of the East Zangezur Economic Region—has been officially increased to 263.36 hectares, scaling up from the initially mapped 229.0 hectares.
Generation Capacity: The dedicated territory is legally preserved for the installation of a solar power plant with an aggregate generation capacity of 100 MW (with an initial phase deployment kicking off at 50 MW).
