June 5, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of April 2026, the number of transactions on Visa payment cards issued by resident organizations of Azerbaijan reached 166.806 million operations, and their total value reached 8.23 billion manats.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to CBA’s report, that compared with Jan-Apr 2025, Visa cards from local banks recorded stable growth dynamics:

Number of operations increased by 29.193 million operations, or by 21.2%;

Volume of operations grew by 273 million manats, or 3.4%.

Operations on non-resident cards:

Transactions on Visa cards issued by foreign (non-resident) financial institutions were also recorded in Azerbaijan. The number of such operations amounted to 725,600 operations, and their total volume amounted to 59 million manats.

Central Bank's report also notes that at the end of April, the number of payment cards in circulation in the country's banking system and Azerpocht LLC increased by 108,000 compared to the previous month and reached 22.518 million cards.
