May 26, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union is planning to fine Google hundreds of millions of euros as part of an investigation under the Digital Markets Act (DMA), ABC.AZ reports, referring to Handelsblatt’s sources.
The decision is expected before the summer holidays and may become the largest fine in the history of the EU in this area.
The investigation began in 2025 due to accusations of promoting Google's own services in search. The company declares its readiness for dialogue, but criticizes the strict requirements of the regulator.
