May 18, Fineko/abc.az. As of May 1, 2026, there were 1,705,276 taxpayers in Azerbaijan (5.1% more than on May 1, 2025), ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Tax Service.

86.8% of taxpayers are individuals and 13.2% - legal entities and other organizations. Over Jan-Apr 2026, the quantity of individual entrepreneurs grew by 5% and the number of departments, enterprises and organizations by 6.1%.

The number of registered commercial organizations at the end of April of 2026 totaled 208,315 (6.7% more than a year ago).

In April, 1,341 commercial organizations passed state registration, and 91.7% of them were with local investments and 8.3% with foreign investments. 88.8% of commercial organizations were registered electronically. The share of e-registration of local investment limited liability companies was 97.2%.

92.2% of commercial legal entities registered by the state were created in the form of LLC.
