April 15, Fineko/abc.az. "Not a single ship has overcome the American blockade of the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours."

ABC.AZ reports that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) informed about this on April 15 on the official portal.

CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper said that "the blockade of Iranian ports has been fully implemented", and US troops have "completely stopped maritime trade with and from Iran". The command also clarified that six merchant ships were ordered to return to the Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman.

Analysts at the Windward maritime intelligence company claim that at least two vessels crossed the Strait on the first day of the blockade, including the tanker Rich Starry (owned by a Chinese company and under US sanctions). According to MarineTraffic, it is currently located east of the Omani city of Al-Khasab.

The blockade was imposed on the evening of April 13 for all maritime transport going to and from Iranian ports, but does not affect ships going to ports not belonging to Iran. The transportation of humanitarian supplies may be allowed subject to verification.

In Iran, the blockade was called doomed to failure. It was opposed by Russia, China, the UK, TotalEnergies, and Saudi Arabia and other oil exporters are putting pressure on the U.S. to deblockdown.
