October 30, Fineko/abc.az. German carmaker Volkswagen (VW) posted operating loss in the 3rd quarter, although revenue increased by 2.3%, according to its report.

ABC.AZ informs that in July-September, VW's operating loss amounted to 1.3 billion euros against profit of 2.83 billion euros a year earlier. The operating margin took negative value, falling to minus 1.6% from 3.6%.

VW's quarterly earnings rose up to 80.31 billion euros from 78.58 billion euros a year earlier.

Car sales grew by 4.5% up to about 2.22 million vehicles, while production increased by 4.9% up to 2.13 million vehicles.

The company still expects its income this year to remain at the 2024 level. The operating margin, according to the new forecast, will be 2-3% (the previous forecast is 4-5%).
