September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Iron ore prices rose due to signs of increased steel production in China in September after several months of declines, as well as a reduction in ore shipments from Brazil, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg.

"Iron ore prices rose as China's daily steel output showed signs of improvement, while shipments from its largest exporter Brazil slowed," the agency said.

Thus, the largest producers in China in early September produced 2.09 million tons of steel per day (7.8% more versus the same period a year earlier), Bloomberg cites data provided by the China Iron and Steel Association (China Iron and Steel Association, CISA).
