August 15, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 6 months of 2025, 48,900 jobs were opened in the country.
ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that 92.1% of the jobs opened during this period accounted for the non-governmental sector.
Of the open jobs, 74.7% accounted for Baku, 1.1% for Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 24.2% for other regions, including 8.3% in Absheron–Khizi, 2.6% in Guba-Khachmaz, 2.5% in Shaki-Zagatala, 2.3% – Ganja-Dashkesan, 2.1% – Karabakh, 1.4% – Lankaran-Astara, 1.1% – Central Aran, 1.1% – Eastern Zangezur, 1% – Shirvan-Salyan, 0.8% – Gazakh-Tovuz, 0.5% – Nagorny-Shirvan and 0.5% –Mil-Mugan economic regions.
10.8% of open jobs were created at newly-established enterprises and organizations, 87.6% – at existing enterprises and organizations, 0.5% – at enterprises and organizations that resumed operations, 1.1% – due to other measures.
At the same time, 4,300 jobs were closed in the country in the 1st half of 2025. 53.4% of the jobs closed during this period accounted for the private sector. 24.2% of workplaces were closed because of the suspension of enterprises and organizations, and 75.8% – because of the dismissal of employees at existing enterprises and organizations.
