July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Baku and Bishkek discussed the possibility of building a feed mill for the needs of the Kyrgyz fishing industry, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

This matter was discussed during a working meeting between representatives of the Department of Fisheries of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.

"The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of aquaculture, emphasizing that the launch of a plant for the production of high-quality feed for fish farms will be an important step for development of the industry. The meeting participants noted that development of specialized infrastructure will significantly increase fish production, increase farm efficiency and strengthen Kyrgyzstan's food security," the Ministry says.

Following the meeting, the Department of Fisheries expressed its readiness for further cooperation with the Azerbaijani side and relevant Kyrgyz authorities to implement the plant construction project.

The parties are planning to hold additional consultations and prepare proposals on cooperation formats in the near future.
