July 23, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, several international companies have been registered electronically on the portal of the State Tax Service.

ABC.AZ reports that the Ministry of Economy informs about this with reference to the State Tax Service.

Since July 1, 2025, the registration of 2 companies belonging to group of companies Elsevier BV from the Netherlands, as well as the Match Group from the USA, has entered into force in Azerbaijan for VAT purposes.

In accordance with the requirements of Articles 33.8-1 and 169.8 of the Tax Code, from the specified date, banks do not charge VAT on payments made by individuals for the purchase of services rendered by these companies.

Elsevier BV is an international company operating in the field of scientific publishing. The company mainly publishes academic journals, books, and digital resources in the scientific, technical, and medical fields. It is registered in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and operates worldwide.

Two more companies belonging to the Match Group serve millions of users in many countries around the world and are leaders among social platforms.
