July 16, Fineko/abc.az. Larry Ellison, co-founder and one of Oracle's largest shareholders, has reached a historic milestone, rising to second place in the ranking of the richest people on the planet.
ABC.AZ reports that according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he was listed as the second richest man in the world.
Ellison's personal fortune is estimated at $251.2 billion. He is ahead of Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Meta, whose fortune is estimated at $251 billion. The leader of the list is still Tesla CEO Elon Musk with a capital of $358 billion.
Jeff Bezos ($247 billion) and Steve Ballmer ($174 billion) complete the top five richest people in the world.
The fortune of Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, a chip manufacturer, has also grown due to the recent rise in his company's shares. So, last week, Jensen Huang overtook Warren Buffett in net worth.
As of July 16, his net worth is $149 billion, and Warren Buffett's fortune is $141 billion.
