July 10, Fineko/abc.az. The amount of VAT paid to individuals through authorized banks for goods bought for Jan-Jun 2025 from individuals engaged in retail trade and catering in Azerbaijan (with exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services rendered by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical care In practice, it amounted to approx. 94 million manats, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Tax Service (under the Ministry of Economy).

Over Jan-Jun 2025, the State Budget returned amount of VAT (tax free) to foreign citizens for goods purchased in Azerbaijan for personal consumption reached 4.889 million manats.
