April 3, Fineko/abc.az. International journal The Diplomat published an article entitled "Expanding China's Presence in Uzbekistan", in which its author, Bekzod Zakirov, examines aspects of Beijing's increasing economic influence in the republic.

ABC.AZ reports that the article notes that in recent years, China has significantly increased its economic presence in Uzbekistan, which causes both support and concern among the country's population.

There has been an increase in xenophobia on social media related to the spread of unconfirmed reports of land sales to Chinese investors and an increase in the number of Chinese enterprises and cultural elements in Uzbekistan.
