March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Well-known German manufacturer of medicines and plant protection products Bayer has made a forecast of a serious decrease in profits compared to 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that in the fourth quarter of last year, Bayer's operating profit fell by more than a fifth to €2.35 billion. Turnover also decreased, but slightly, to €11.7 billion.

The representative of the concern says that the producer is struggling with low prices for agricultural products and growing competition in the pharmaceutical industry. The Chemical Group has been reducing management levels and bureaucratic processes for some time.

In the first half of 2024, Bayer's sales decreased by 2.1% (to €24.91 billion), but at the same time, profit increased by 80% compared to the first half of 2023.
