17:25 - 3.03.2025

March 3, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025-2029, the State Budget of Azerbaijan will be in surplus.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the forecast of the World Bank.

WB's analysts predict that the State Budget surplus will make up 2% of GDP this year, 0.6% in 2026, 0.5% in 2027 and 0.4% in 2028-2029.

According to the Bank's estimates, in 2025-2029 budget revenues will amount to 32-34.5% of GDP, while expenditures will make up 22.8-23.3% of GDP. In other words, the forecast of lower budget revenues amid stable spending also affected expectations for surplus.
