January 24, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump has assured that he will be able to guarantee gas supplies from his country to the EU if the parties conclude agreements in this area.

"Yes, if we make a deal, I will ensure that you receive supplies," ABC.AZ reprts, quoting Trump as saying  this during a video conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, when answering a question about LNG supplies to Europe.

Trump did not agree with the opinion that the U.S. may need pauses in approving new LNG projects to combat inflation.

"In my opinion, the more projects we have, the lower the prices will be," the American president said.

He reiterated that his administration aims to boost oil and gas production in the U.S. He also noted that he has nothing against using coal to generate electricity in emergency cases.
