January 14, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, VAT in the amount of 176.36 million manats was refunded to individuals in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service.
This is VAT paid for goods purchased at retail or catering facilities (with exception of petroleum products and gas, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services.
In addition, as a result of expansion of coverage of the EDV-geri al project, the process of refunding part of the VAT paid by individual consumers for residential and non-residential premises purchased wirelessly from persons engaged in the construction of buildings in the country continues.
In 2024, the amount of VAT refund for residential and non-residential premises purchased by wire transfer exceeded 26.417 million manats.
